An ERP manager who can handle Odoo costs about $6,700–$8,300 a month fully loaded, for one person with one skill set. Keeping Odoo healthy takes configuration, development, data work and integrations. And if that person leaves, the knowledge leaves with them.
Because ready is the part we control, so it's the part we guarantee. Ready is a checklist in your plan that you sign off: configured, data migrated and reconciled, integrations tested and your team trained. You pick the go-live date, ideally in your slow period.
One point person for about 4 hours a week during the 12 weeks, your key users for training (live or recorded), and your controller for finance sign-off. You don't need an IT person on staff.
Products, customers, vendors, on-hand inventory and open documents come across. Historical transactions move where the data is clean enough to trust; otherwise the old system stays as a read-only archive. We decide together what has to be live on day one.
For six months after go-live, anything that doesn't work the way your written plan says gets fixed at no extra charge, and we don't count the hours: bugs, settings, reports that don't match, re-training, small adjustments to a field, report or document. After six months, support still covers anything that breaks; small changes then use your 15 monthly enhancement hours. A new site, integration or app is a real project, quoted separately.
The system is entirely yours and nothing switches off. Most clients keep us on a much lower yearly support plan, cancellable with notice, because the build is paid for and we already know the system.
You own the database, configuration, custom modules and source code from day one. Your code lives in your own repository, you get full documentation, and any unused prepaid support is refunded.
A good fit if two or more are true: you make or distribute physical product; you track lots, serials, expiry or a compliance regime (CFIA, HACCP, ISO, GMP); you run more than one site or legal entity; you're on QuickBooks, Sage 50 or spreadsheets; you need EDI, e-commerce, shipping or barcode scanning connected; you can give the project one point person for a few hours a week.
Usually not a fit: a service business with no inventory; processes close to standard with someone internal to set them up (go direct to Odoo, it's cheaper); fewer than 10 people; a budget under about $1,800 a month; needing to be live in under six weeks.
That's a common reason people call us. On the fit call we look at what's built, what's worth keeping and whether finishing is cheaper than starting clean. If it's worth saving, you keep the work you've already paid for.
